PREAMBLE
In India even after fifty years of independency more than 60% of the rural population is devoid of primary education. On one hand with its vast area and other hand ever increasing population makes this job very difficult for the Indian administration. Henceforth the policy makers of the country come out with a Vision for 2020 in which primary education have been given prime importance. This vision envisages to open a school at hamlet level with an aim to create 100% access to education to Indian citizens. Supporting this the Indian National Policy on education calls for cooperation of other Non Government Organization in this noble cause. Addressing this Indian Government also had formed a separate department of National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) and envisages an urgent need for numerous teachers and physical education teachers to fulfill the vision. Dr. Babu, managing trustee of KALAIMAGAL EDUCATIONAL AND CHARITABLE TRUST in continuation to his efforts in supporting the have proposed to start Shree Teacher Training Institute with Bachelor of Education course. He believes that learning teaching is a noble cause which not only helps one’s own development it also helps in the development of others. Teaching has three important components like educating, enhancing knowledge and development of skill which results in productive individuals.
ACTIVITIES
Students will be taught by qualified teachers using various methods of teaching like green board teaching, explaining using audio visual equipments like over head projector, LCD projector, Group discussion, brain storming sessions, seminars by students, etc.
TEACHERS
The proposed teachers for the institute are well qualified and knowledgeable in their subject areas. Management gives special attention to this factor during staff selection process.
FACILITIES
Transport
Well established transport facility is available in the college managed by the Management of the Institutions at moderate charges.
The College premises have purified good drinking water facility in each floor of the building. Well maintained sufficient clean toilets and urinals for boys and girls separately and teachers separately. The campus has well established canteen, play ground, gym, etc.
Hostels
There are two separate hostels available for both boys and girls. Besides two hostels exclusively for sports students. The hostel rooms are provided with table chairs and cupboards with the capacity of three students per room. Round the clock water facility, good studying atmosphere and clean surroundings are the added quality in education for hostel students. Though the students are from various states the every day menu of the food satisfies all students. The sports students get nourished food as per their requirements in sports events. Special care is always available for sick students and permanent vehicle is provided to hostel for physician checkup. To have a contact with parents twenty four hour phone facility is open for students. The students were trained in their mind setup that they themselves are their own guardians. Hence there is no enforcement of rules on them but notably the students is well disciplined and talented in academics as well in sports.
Library
Beautifully structured, spacious with good seating arrangements library for reading is available with plenty of books. The books are catalogued as per library studies and students are provided with library cards to access the books periodically. Periodicals, Journals and dailies are placed in the central lobby, Text books, monographs and encyclopedia is placed subject wise on the sides on both ground and first floor of the library with comfortably placed reading tables. The library is open through out the college hours. More than thousand books are available for each discipline and sufficient copies of syllabus books. Our library is attached to a well connected broad band internet facility for the students' reference during the college hours.Photocopying facility is also available for the students at nominal rates.
